Morningday Community Solutions

With their innovative partnerships with large retailers, Morningday Community Solutions is able to provide free/low-cost essential items and furniture to local nonprofits, veterans, and families in need while substantially reducing landfill waste. Bambu is thrilled to work with them to put together a smart funding and communications strategy as they scale their operation.


Since 2004, Tomorrow's Rainbow has been providing grieving children, teens, and their families with an emotionally safe environment for hope and healing through guidance, education and support. Today they are expanding their services to include trauma counseling along with grief counseling and their beautiful herd of therapeutic horses. We are honored to be a partner in their expansion by building a strong case, a fundraising roadmap, and improving communications to help them garner the support they need to meet our community's needs.

YES Institute

This 26-year-old Miami-based organization is making communities safer for all youth through powerful communication education. Bambu is helping expand their capacity and impact with a strategic grants plan to support their operations and programs throughout the state.

Our Father's House Soup Kitchen Logo

Although they've served the community for more than 30 years, Our Father's House Soup Kitchen had never embarked on an intentional fundraising strategy. Referred by another happy client, we have helped them develop an impactful case for support, identify community partners for their important work, and are managing their grants to increase their budget and expand their programs.


Founded in 1998, the OUTshine LGBTQ Film Festival serves Miami-Dade and Broward counties as the premier, and largest, arts and culture event for South Florida's diverse LGBTQ+ communities. Bambu supported their fundraising efforts through a transition period to ensure that funding would be maintained in the current season and grow in the next.

The Alliance for LGBTQ Youth

With 17 years of service in Miami-Dade County but little history of fundraising, The Alliance knew they needed support in order to meet their community's needs and expand to serve more youth and families throughout South Florida. Having grown far beyond their start as a service partnership of The Children's Trust, we are working with The Alliance to embark on the next step to growing their base of support.

Twin Palms Center for the Disabled

When Twin Palms first came to us in 2015, they had been in business for 46 years with only a modest base of support. Bambu quickly ramped up efforts to grow foundation and grants support. Together, we grew grants revenue by 900% in eight months, and developed innovative programming for the Center! And it just continues to grow!

Emerging from the pandemic with new programs to bring theater into the community, Charleston Stage is working to grow their base of support to support their efforts to increase cultural exposure in rural and underserved areas. Bambu is working to connect them with municipal, state, and federal grants as well as private funding.


Having grown from a small church mission to a full-fledged 501(c)(3), this grassroots organization came to us to help them develop their first intentional fundraising strategy. With a robust prospecting grid and strong case for support, they are building their grants program and growing their base of foundation support.

From homeless to CEO, Showering Love founder Jeanne Albaugh's story is inspiring us and changing lives in South Florida every day. We are excited to support her innovative solution to providing basic human services to our homeless neighbors by guiding Showering Love's first formal fundraising efforts.


Following a staff transition, this decade-old grassroots organization didn't want to lose fundraising momentum. Bambu stepped in to support leadership in maintaining relationships with existing funders, streamline their messaging, and identify and cultivate new support to help them expand their work.


With a big impact in the community but a small base of financial support, Kidz Count needed to increase revenue and diversify fundraising efforts in order to continue providing critical financial literacy education for area youth. Bambu is proud to partner with this organization to help them connect with the foundation support that will help them sustain their work for years to come!

Flamingo Gardens

Founded in 1927, Flamingo Gardens welcomes tens of thousands of visitors each year to its botanical gardens and Everglades wildlife sanctuary in Davie, Florida. As the Gardens prepare to undertake a significant capital campaign to renovate their facilities, Bambu is helping to lay the groundwork by strengthening their foundation support.



Over the course of three years, Bambu helped Sweet Dream Makers grow from a budget of $200,000 to over $1M by working through a 360 degree rebrand, planning and executing their annual fundraising and communication efforts, and developing a smart grants strategy. It has been our privilege to support this organization on communications, PR, individual giving campaigns, sponsorships, and events!

Free Our Seas and Beyond


As a brand new nonprofit organization, Free Our Seas and Beyond is making a big difference in how South Florida communities think and act for climate change. Bambu is proud to help this start-up build a strong base of foundation support to help them meet today's environmental challenges with their proven, positive, and art-based social change model.


Having served the community for 25 years, Unicorn Children's Foundation is ready to diversify their fundraising portfolio and launch an intentional grants program to expand their research-driven work. We were thrilled to be their partner in identifying the best foundation and corporate matches for support and developing proposals tailored to communicate the need and impact of their programs.

Having provided the community with specialized education for middle- and high-school age students with mild to severe learning disabilities for nearly a decade, Unicorn Village Academy needed support in growing their funding base in order to grow their program. Bambu was thrilled to partner with them to build a strong case for support and connect with donors who want to partner in their cause.



Kindness Matters365 initially partnered with Bambu to help get their fundraising program off the ground. With a universally important mission and potential for enormous impact, we are helping to position the organization to find funding to support long-term growth. In 2018, we worked alongside KM365 to develop their successful application for the Great Ideas Initiative and establish their mobile presence. Bambu also supported nomination, communication, and PR efforts surrounding founder Laura Reiss's national recognition as a L'Oreal Women of Worth Honoree and coordinated their first year-end giving appeal. 

The IDDeal Foundation


This innovative organization is the longest running micro-enterprise in the state of Florida, providing adults with intellectual and developmental delays with the opportunity to build their skills and do meaningful work. Bambu is helping them increase their roster of community partners and create a communication strategy that raises more support for their mission.

Boca Raton Police Foundation


Events are an important opportunity to build relationships with donors. During their biggest event of the year, the Boca Raton Police Foundation wanted to make sure their staff was free to do exactly that - instead of stuck handling registration and auction processing. Bambu provided day-of support to ensure that guests had a smooth check-in and check-out experience, allowing staff to focus entirely on cultivating gifts.

Our very first client, SOS has been changing the lives of foster children in South Florida for 25 years. We managed the $1M annual grants program for SOS, growing it each year as we worked closely with the SOS team to build effective grant proposals, develop programs and prospect new opportunities.



Bambu is helping to build a fundraising plan and develop a strong grants strategy for  the Community Classroom Project to  further their mission of supporting education and child development in classrooms and families by bridging the gap between students, parents, educators, schools and the community.

As a young nonprofit, GENES Foundation is in the early stages of building a fundraising program to support its mission to inform, educate, and provide necessary tools for parents and children who are affected by genetic disorders. Bambu is honored to work alongside the organization's founders to put together a strong base of community support for their important work.

Although Tayan Alliances has been working with the community to provide affordable housing options for more than five years, the organization had not pursued grant support for their program. Bambu is putting together the research, preliminary work, and first steps in building relationships with this vital new source of revenue to help more families in Broward, Miami, and Palm Beach counties have a roof over their heads.


A brand new nonprofit organization, Care With Dignity provides quality home healthcare direct services that empower and assist underserved communities in Palm Beach County. By working to establish the organization's grants strategy and creating effective grant proposals, we support Care With Dignity in launching their services with a strong start.

As a new, grassroots organization making a big impact on the lives of disadvantaged youth, TUFF Start partnered with Bambu to help get a sense of the funding landscape in South Florida and write effective proposals.

A grassroots environmental group, GRLC came to Bambu at a unique crossroads in their organizational history, trying to determine direction and fundraising priority. Bambu is providing 360 degree fundraising strategy. Conducting first grant prospecting project, developing proposal templates and helping to shape fundraising and membership programs.

Fitwize Academy


Fitness is important to retired US Marine Alex Duran, and that's why he founded Fitwize Academy - a nonprofit gym for children of all ages and abilities. Bambu is working closely with Fitwize to identify strong, sustainable fundraising strategies that will support these strong, resilient kids!

Bambu worked with Building New Hope to prospect local, national, and international funding opportunities and sharpen appeals. Building New Hope creates dignified, sustainable livelihoods for Central Americans through fair trade and education projects.

Bambu partnered with Take Two Services to help Belt Mag launch as a nonprofit with a strong fundraising plan.  A nonprofit journalism website dedicated to the politics and culture of the Rust Belt and the Midwest, we worked with BeltMag to execute a successful first fundraising campaign, build strategic partnerships and major donor prospects, and establish events strategy.

KidSafe logo


We fell in love with KidSafe at our very first meeting! Led by two incredible humans, KidSafe is saving lives across FL through child sexual abuse prevention programs. Poised for considerable growth, with scalable programming, we were able to enhance foundation and grants support by strengthening strategic partnerships and creating effective program proposals to sustain and grow their important work. We were thrilled to help develop the application that won the 2017 Impact 100 grant.  Bambu also provides strategy for their annual gala.



Another small organization doing amazing work across the globe, Bambu provided comprehensive fundraising strategy for CFKF to grow their programming. We helped to identify local, national and international funding opportunities, write persuasive proposals, as well as provide guidance for key relationship cultivation.

A small, start-up org, Bambu helped Wheels From the Heart establish a new grants program. We conducted a comprehensive prospecting project for local sources of support, wrote impactful proposal package and helped to secure critical initial funding.
